STS develops flow meters that integrate reliably and easily into industrial systems. The electromagnetic measuring principle works without moving parts, making it especially robust, wear-free, and low-maintenance—ideal for continuous use in process plants.
STS flow meters are used wherever continuous, reliable, and low-maintenance flow measurements are required. The sensors are suitable for clean, lightly contaminated, or mildly aggressive liquids and are ideal for long-term monitoring and control tasks.
Typical application areas:
STS flow meters use the electromagnetic measuring principle: when a conductive liquid moves through a magnetic field, it generates a voltage. This voltage is proportional to the flow velocity and enables precise determination of volumetric flow rate. Because there are no moving components, the measurement remains stable over the long term, wear-free, and largely insensitive to contamination or deposits. In many industries, electromagnetic flow meters are also referred to as magnetic flow meters (magmeters).

Electromagnetic flow meters are therefore especially suitable for industrial applications where precise, wear-free, and low-maintenance flow measurement is required.
